Purpose Profile
Workshops

A student workshop that connects to a real report and a real advising system.

When a workshop is connected to an assessment, a personalized report, and a staff follow-through system, the impact does not stop when the event does. That is how workshops through the Purpose Profile work.

Workshops

What most events miss

1

Most student development events are well-designed. Students engage in the room. There are good moments. And then the semester continues and the material fades.

2

The reason is structural, not motivational. When an event is not connected to anything the student carries with them, or anything the staff can reference later, it is a one-time experience. The energy does not have anywhere to go.

3

Workshops through the Purpose Profile are built differently. The event is connected to an assessment students have already completed, a personalized report they take with them, and a staff system that gives advisors and faculty something to work from after the session ends.

Workshop format

The Student Direction Day

The primary workshop format is the Student Direction Day: a half-day or full-day live experience that helps students turn their Purpose Profile results into real academic direction.

Students come in having completed the assessment and with access to their Foundation Report and Education Report. The workshop uses those results as the foundation. What happens in the room is built around who the students actually are, not around a generic framework applied to everyone equally.

Who it is for

Who requests a Purpose Profile workshop

Audience 1

First-year experience programs and orientation offices looking for a student development anchor that carries into advising.

Audience 2

Student-athlete development programs, leadership cohorts, first-generation student initiatives, and similar targeted programs where a shared framework has ongoing value.

Audience 3

Student affairs and student success teams evaluating the Purpose Profile before committing to a full Program Launch.

Audience 4

Conference and summit organizers who want a session built around real student results rather than a standard keynote model.

Audience 5

Organizations and companies running leadership development or onboarding programs where the Purpose Profile framework applies.

Platform fit

Workshops as a platform extension

The Student Direction Day is designed to work with the Purpose Profile platform, not instead of it. It is not a standalone motivational talk. The value is in the connection: assessment before the event, reports students keep after it, and staff tools that extend the impact into advising and follow-up.

For schools that move from a Student Direction Day into a full Purpose Profile Program Launch, the workshop becomes the opening of a 90-day implementation rather than a one-time experience. For larger institutional partners, workshops can be incorporated into the Campus Adoption Package as part of a campus-wide rollout.
